CARING FOR YOUR HOME
CONCRETE
Cracks may develop in concrete patios, walls, driveways, porches, basements, floors or foundations due to expanding and contracting of the soil on which the concrete is placed. There is no known way of completely eliminating this condition as it is a characteristic inherent to concrete. These cracks are not structurally significant. Only cracks in which one side is ½ inch or more higher than the other will be repaired or replaced. If a repair or replacement is required, there is no guarantee the color of the replacement concrete will match the original concrete.
Deicing salt or chemicals on concrete will cause flaking and peeling of the concrete surface. We strongly recommend you do not use these chemicals, especially during the first year, and we do not warrant against this condition.
